The Blood Machine

The average person would probably be concerned if they heard a large bang and saw blood splatter the walls of their bedroom. I know I would be if I wasn't married to Matt.

Recap of the blood machine day:
I am half asleep sick in bed with a fever. I can hear outside my bedroom door Matt rustling around. Then moments later I hear a loud bang, Matt scream and blood splattering all over my bedroom floor, walls and ceiling. The "average" person may of been alarmed with the site of all that blood but I've been living with body parts, and blood machines since Matt and I met 5 years ago. Very rarely do I come home and not see my husband pretending to be dead or trying to spook me in every way possible. Some of our day to day activities include him testing out special effects on me. Please watch attached video if you would like to know more (http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=144165536340).

My first reaction to the blood, screams and bang was not to see if my husband was okay but to see how much of my house was destroyed. I slowly pulled myself out of the bed to discover that the blood machine Matt had recently constructed had covered my off white carpets, walls, and ceiling in every room of my house. The blood machine had conveniently gone off in the hallway with each door wide open leading to every room. To this day I am still cleaning "blood" off my ceiling. I find it everywhere. Matt thought it was a good day to test the blood machine in the house. He said he was going to do it in the bathtub, but the machine accidently went off in the hall. These are the moments that I truly love to reflect on and remind me of why I love my husband. Every day is more entertaining then the last and I can't imagine living without the body parts and blood machines.

RUN peacock RUN

I really enjoyed the stories of the runaway peacock in Edmonton and had to do a drawing in honor of this crazy peacock. Apparently the owner had a runaway last year as well. Who has a house full of Peacocks in Edmonton? I would love to wake up in the morning and see a peacock peering in my window.Check out my totally awesome "run peacock run" creature.

Popples & Socks

I miss the days of Popples. I think it is hilarious that the idea of transforming a brightly colored stuffed creature into a ball came from rolled socks. As well as one of the Popples was named Potato Chip....so 80s...so fun. When will we ever be that cool again? I don't think we have anything in the year 2010 that can compare to that. ...well maybe the slimy, drippy, puffy eyed characters from the world of JKAR.
